Business Need / Purpose of Role: To take responsibility for all design decisions in the business and to provide design and technical support to the business as necessary.
Key Responsibilities and Specific Accountabilities: (Including results this role is expected to accomplish)
• To act as design authority for the business • To review all engineering change requests • To provide design support to customers both remotely and on site when required • To work closely with the main plant department in development and support of new machines • Influence and direct relationships with the manufacturing facilities design and technical department • To provide design support within the business as required including re-rate and de-rate requirements and support of sales visits • To manage and develop AST’s design software to cover the business needs • To support the TMD business as required
General Information: This position will require occasional out of hours working in addition to overseas travel in line with business and customer requirements.
