The desired candidates main duties for this role will be to 1) Plan machine loading and communicating these to the shop floor 2) Overseeing the shop floor activities 3) Ensuring materials are ordered in time 4) Ensure cutomer orders are fulfilled on time 5) Ensure that procedures are developed are developed to ensure that the production area is running efficiently 6) Ensure that the moulding machines are kept running and manufacturing good quality products 7) Maintaining of quality standards 8) liaising with the customersregarding delivery times etc 9) Ensuring ancilliary equipment is utilised and set up correctly 10) Enabling and supporting Operators and Technicians 11) Ensure H&S requirements are maintained 12) Working closely with the management team to ensure goals are achieved 13) Together with the Moulding Supervisor to ensure targets are met 14) Ensuring all efforts are made to instil a right first time culture 15) Maintenance of moulding and ancilliary equipment 16) Troubleshooting of production issues. Other duties include to be responsible for the shop floor in the absence of senior management. Develop the workforce and lines of communication on the shift, encouraging teamwork philosophy. The right candidate will be required to ensure the Quality Manager is updated on a regular basis with all potential quality issues and to contribute to the overall improvement function of the business
The ideal candidate will possess 1) 5 years or more Injection Moulding experience 2) Conversant with a variety of machine manufacturers equipment 3) Experienced with both Engineering polymers and Commodity plastics 4) Able to work alone or as part of a team
