The Company:
This is a metal pressing company offering 1st and 2nd tier manufacturing services to the automotive industry. There are 30 presses spread across an expansive site up to 2500 tonnes with robotics and assembly cells. The company works for some of the largest automotive manufacturers such as Honda, General Motors and Jaguar Land Rover.
Duties:
As a Quality Engineer for this company you will be expected to manage the requirements for the companies major clients. Key duties will include producing Production Part Approvals Process documentation (PPAP) as well as Quality Planning (APQP). Other duties will include problem solving using 8D, 5 why’s and fishbone diagrams to resolve issues such as non conformances.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate must have experience working within a metal pressing environment as a Quality Engineer’s. You must also have experience working within the automotive industry producing PPAP and APQP documentation. You must also possess the capacity to actively problem solve where necessary as well as directly liaise with local clients on a regular basis
